Tomorrow is the London Yoga Show!

http://www.justgiving.com/karenellen1 is the page I have set up to support the MS society and shows the video clip when surprised and shocked me with the generous offer to.., "Pay for you to become a yoga teacher"

I arranged a meeting at http://www.specialyoga.org.uk/ that Trish Cunnison from MS society Head Office met with me, Clive and Eriko, Christine (she teaches yoga for people with MS and chronic illnesses), Jo Manual Director of the Special Yoga Center and author http://www.amazon.co.uk/Spiritual-Teachings-Yoga-Jo-Manuel/dp/0955888514 To discuss the need for special yoga classes for people with MS. Trish confirmed that Croydon would be the pilot for this idea. It really is quite exciting how this has taken off since last year.

Since last year in addition to my wonderful opportunity to train and MS society being supported at this year’s yoga aid event. At the end of last year I attended Fiona Agombar’s “How can yoga help those with ME’ Following my attendance to this course, and the realisation of the need for a class to help yoga Teachers help those diagnosed with MS in March. As described http://inspirationalsmiles.blogspot.com/2009/09/how-yoga-can-help-those-with-ms-fiona.html. For some peace of mind I asked Fiona who confirmed that appropriate insurance is held by the Special Yoga Centre and Instructors for this course as soon as the volunteers arrive at the Special Yoga Centre. We would only need to provide appropriate transportation needs for those being transported by the branch.

I have completed all the pre-course reading as required as part of http://www.theyogaacademy.org/ teacher training course. I am really looking forward to the start of the course. I am very lucky that some of my very good friends are yoga teachers and agreed to mentor me as I train to become a yoga teacher. When I complete this course, I intend to let the whole of the MS community benefit from my experience, already I constantly emphasis how important yoga it's philosophy is for everybody, even if you have MS and as able as others.

The yoga show is tomorrow and I will get to meet everyone who is supporting me! In addition to my normal daily practice I have been incorporating more Sun Salutations to build my stamina for the special event – I just hope I have done enough. I have had a lot of good wishes for Yoga-a-thon. Thank everyone very much for giving me all the positive wishes!
